Through international cooperation and development between industry, government, organizations, and institutions, we promote the benefits of and need for skilled professionals through grass-roots community projects, skill competitions, and knowledge exchange. We show how important skills education and training is for youth, industries and society by challenging young professionals around the world to become the best in the skill of their choice.

The ‘WorldSkills National Competition of skilled professions’ project was approved by the Supervisory Board of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) chaired by Vladimir Putin, which gave a start to the WorldSkills movement in Russia.

Plans for 2016

  • Preparation for WorldSkills Kazan 2019;
  • Other activities: national team members’ training, development of Russia’s VET reorganization plan, professional standards, dual education, national experts, experts’ internship, experts’ training;
  • Creation and development of ‘WorldSkills Academia
  • Creation of competitors’ cross–monitoring system;
  • Brand development: marketing policy, formats of the Movement information policies’ development;
  • Methodological activities;
  • Project activities: development of JuniorSkills, establishment of Youth Council, joint development of youth forum with the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh), development of new competition formats: competitions among the disabled, corporate and industry competitions;
  • Development of international activities: development standing orders of Russia’s participation in WSI and EuroSkills events, preparation for WorldSkills Abu–Dhabi 2017, development of WorldSkills CIS and WorldSkills BRICS Competitions;
  • Russian national team formation and its training.
