Team Moscow has won the team scoring at the third National JuniorSkills Competition

On May 19, results of the third National JuniorSkills Competition were announced. The Competition was held in the framework of the fifth WorldSkills Russia National Competition. Team Moscow has become the leader in the medal count ahead of Novosibirsk and Krasnodar regions as well as Saint Petersburg.

Team Tatarstan has won the first place according to the number of points per team ahead of Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Novosibirsk and Sverdlovsk regions.

The third National JuniorSkills Competition was attended by 148 teams and 197 mentors from 36 regions of Russia together with juniors from Belarus, Switzerland and the Netherlands. Schoolchildren competed in two age groups from 10 to 13 and from 14 to 17. The Competition included 19 skills: CNC Turning, CNC Milling, Mechanical Engineering Design CAD, Mobile Robotics, Prototype Modelling, Electronics, Aerocosmic Engineering, Electrical Installations, IT Network Systems Administration, Laser Technology, Internet of Things, Chemical Analysis Service, Metal Roofing, Neiropiloting and presentation skills such as Landscape Gardening, Agronomy, Multimedia Journalism and Cooking.

As for the international guests, Switzerland’s national team shared the first place in Electrical Installations with Novosibirsk region’s team and the Netherlands won the second place in Landscape Design.

JuniorSkills is a programme launched by Volnoe Delo Oleg Deripaska Foundation for students’ early career guidance and professional training together with WorldSkills Russia, Agency for Strategic Initiatives, Ministry of Education and Science and Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation. The programme is aimed at creation of new career guidance opportunities as well as acquisition of modern professional skills by schoolchildren.
